Emotional Time Travelling

Emotional Time Travelling can be referred to as travelling to past experiences in our memories and to possible future scenarios in our imagination inside of our minds. In other words, focusing on what has already happened or on what might happen. This kind of reflection on the past or the future directly impacts the way you feel now.

Grounding - Getting closer to the Earth

Ηolistic healing from trauma and chronic stress means to take care of oneself with the help of lifestyle changes, too. Integrating grounding hobbies and activities in your life is so important to support yourself on this journey. There are so many beautiful ways of finding that stillness. It may seem insignificant today, but it has the power to make a difference the moment you let yourself have this space. And every day that follows.

Beach Treasures or Trash

Even my earliest memories of beach walks always involve my sisters and me being mesmerized by little shells and rocks we found and collected. The Little Mermaid was one of our favorite movies (we still know the songs by heart) and of course, we identified with the beautiful little mermaid collecting the treasures she found on sunken ships. We imagined the spirits of mermaids in the shells and interpreted the shapes of rocks according to what they reminded us of, a camera for instance. This year on summer vacation on the Greek island of Crete however, our experience was a little different. Even walking along some of the quietest beaches of the island, what you find are not just shells and rocks anymore. What you find is often trash. Our holiday inspired me to devote my blog post to our beautiful blue planet and shed light on the huge plastic problem (which is obviously not limited to Greece). There is hope on the horizon though! Read this week’s blog to find out about ways to reuse and most importantly avoid plastic altogether.

How many times do we argue, simply, because we are overstimulated - in need for space just for ourselves? Many mistake solitude for loneliness. They either blame those conscious of their need for solitude for isolating themselves, or they are incapable of spending a day without company. But solitude is being alone. It means being one with all. In this week’s blog, I’m speaking about the need for solitude and why it’s important for your well-being.

The Benefits of Journaling

Writing is not only for writers. One of the first things we learn in elementary school is how to write and through the years it becomes as natural as breathing. No one told us how healthy the habit of expressive writing is though, so I’m diving into the benefits of journaling while giving you some easy and practical tips to get started!
